- Ducks on Repeat formed in April 2009. After a few quacking gigs together with the discovery of a shared passion of electronic music, dfind and daboo joined forces. A quack here and a quack there later, a number of dancefloors were blown away by the wic..Bio: Ducks on Repeat formed in April 2009 where dfind and daboo joined forces in the discovery of a shared passion in electronic music. A quack here and a quack there later a number of dance floors were blasted by a medley of bass driven tech sounds surfing through various genres between techno, house and more. In 2011, the Ducks were recruited on Neustadtmusik (NM), a Luzern based electronic collective, including Dread J, Dietrich & Strolch and Sous Sol. The Ducks are now working on some productions for NM to join in the putting out of fresh and underground electronic sound. They are also regularly involved in spinning and in the organisation of electronic gatherings. Influence: At young age the two were influenced by artists such as Tribe Called Quest, DJ Krush, DJ Shadow, Fatboy Slim, Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Leftfield, Propellerheads. They began mixing Nu Skool Breaks (Plump DJs, Elite Force, Meat Katie etc.) and Drum n Bass (DJ Hype, Aphrodite, LTJ Bukem, etc.) and slowly journeyed through new genres as electronic music developed and moved in its different directions. Round basslines, tight beats and ethno percussions are a few things that represent the outcome of the ducks’ musical travels.
