- The South London-based Australian ELEANOR is a DJ, producer, curator & Local Action family member who runs the record label Clasico. She also hosts a monthly Rinse FM show presenting the best in contemporary high-energy club music across the globe.A long-standing member of the Local Action family, ELEANOR has held down a crucial monthly radio show for the last three years - first on 1020 Radio, now on Rinse FM - that has represented for cutting edge North American club music in a way that very few other UK platforms have. Previous guests on her show include WTCHCRFT, Black Rave Culture’s Amal and DJ Nativesun, Despina, Kilopatrah Jones, OSSX’s Equiss, KYRUH, AMEN the Producer and more, often before any other UK platforms had covered them. In March 2023, ELEANOR released her debut single ‘Thin End of the Wedge’ on NY’s Sorry Records, which marks the first release by the Brooklyn-based label by a non-American artist. The single is backed with two remixes by DC supergroup Black Rave Culture (formed by DJ Nativesun, Amal, James Bangura) - with support already coming from The Blessed Madonna, Teki Latex and more. On top of that, she’s contributed music to various artist compilations by Somersault Records, Intervention and 1020 Radio, guested on Mall Grab’s Rinse FM show and DJed at festivals like Queens Yard Summer Party, Risen and Junction 2. In April 2023, ELEANOR announced a brand new label called 'Clasico'. Distributed and back-ended by Local Action but curated and operated by ELEANOR, Clasico will sit alongside Local Action’s other sibling label 2 B REAL, which is operated by Finn and has been responsible for recent records from Anz, Iceboy Violet, Martyn Bootyspoon, Michael J. Blood and more. Clasico is focused on cutting edge global club music, and was inspired by a series of label trips to North America in 2022 and the energy, community and connections that she built there. The first two releases were from Miami's Coffintexts and Brooklyn-based WTCHCRFT, two artists who have quickly become key figures in their respective city’s current hotbed of club music talent.
