- Emrik was born in the early 80's, in a very avant-garde city for club music: Barcelona.Emerik was born in the early 80's, in a very avant-garde city for club music: Barcelona. His attention was always drawn to various electronic music like Deppeche Mode and New Order, since he was just a kid. Later on, he became slightly interested in music of the 90's known as “Máquina”, with which he began doing his first experiments with cassettes and simple mixers. Throughout this decade, his musical tastes began a process of maturation in which maquina was left behind, replaced by some more interesting styles like House, Techno and countless sub-styles. This same process often took him to visit clubs like NaN, Lokotron, LaMadame, Discotheque, Florida135 LaTerraza... all pioneers at that time in this type of sound, Raul, Eric Morin, Frank Morin, Ior-dee, Javi Always, Toni Verdi are among those who used to officiate ceremonies. In 2003, he made his first visit to White Island, Ibiza where he spent three months, the craziest of his life, three months that set a new path, a way forward ... Being in places like Amnesia, Space, DC10, Bora-Bora and listening to phenomena such as Carl Cox, Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Locodice, Fabrizio, Tania Vulcano, Ricardo Villalobos and so many others… He became less of an enthusiast for music, and more of an obsessed. That summer, chance made him meet a friend, on a very hot afternoon but with many clouds in the sky, and was invited to join him and play some music at his place... And there they were, his friend and him, with two CDJ and a mixer… and everything started to make sense. It’s this exact moment when his life that started a new way! At the end of that summer, returning to Barcelona, he bought his first tools: a pair of Akiyama turntables, a Gemini mixer and some speakers. And dived into a rush to buy records, record sessions... After a while, he made some improvements to his equipment replaced the Aki with some Technics and the Gemini with a Vestax, also adding a CDJ, everything became more fun! Soon came the first underground party in which he was the master of ceremonies. In 2005 he took a course of a well-known deejay academy in Barcelona, where he found answers to some questions, refined his technique, and better understood what it meant to be a club DJ. Ever since that, with better focus, he started playing at clubs such as Open Air, Drugstore, In-Edit, Between, OHM Terrace Club and various private parties. It will be in summer 2011 when it debuted at the best club in the world .. Amnesia Ibiza! ibiza participating in the White Ibiza Night. This same road will lead him to the musical production. What started as a simple way of fun, made his way into becoming a very important part of his life.
