- DJ, Remixer and Producer, End To End aka Paolo Aliberti has released music on many important dance labels and has also remixed many famous artists and DJs.Paolo began his career as a DJ in the beautiful Italian city of Turin during the late 80s playing many of the first techno records to arrive from overseas. Halfway through the 90’s he built his first recording studio at the back of his record shop, where he began the first of many important collaborations with dance labels such as Media Records, V2 and Time Records. 1982 was the year in which he was introduced to electronic music thanks to the film ‘Escape from New York’ and its now classic soundtrack by John Carpenter. Whilst watching this film he discovered that the music was not only made using guitars, piano’s and string’s but also by an amazing electronic box that generated incredible new sounds, called the synthesizer! Fascinated by this sound, he started a search for similar artists and fell in love with acts such as Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream. By the age of 16, Paolo had started DJ’ing and was already buying the first imported techno vinyl coming from the US, from artists such as Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson. In the early 90’s he became a professional DJ and his musical choices became more influenced by the sounds coming from Northern Europe, even though his love for Detroit techno was always very strong. By 2002 he had relocated to Brescia where he collaborated with Melodica Records, then by 2006 he had joined the staff at Melodica, where he produced and remixed under several different pseudonyms and released singles for Roger Sanchez and Laidback Luke amongst others. His single ‘Born To Fly’ was released on Stealth Records in March 2011, and ‘Like A Butterfly’ was picked up by Carl Kennedy’s Wasted Youth imprint in 2012. Within his DJ sets and his productions, Paolo always tries to blend harmony, grooves and intense pressure, and when he’s in the booth, he plays an energetic, yet melodic style, and he finds this energy from labels like Drumcode, Toolroom and Trone, and artists such as Tale of Us and Maceo Plex provide the more harmonic inspiration. In January 2015 a meeting with award winning record producer Gianfranco Bortolotti, CEO of Media Records, gave fresh inspiration to Paolo’s artistic career, and End To End was born. Now working exclusively with GFB Management, Paolo has begun a new collaboration both as an artist and producer for Media Records and Divergent Music.
