Biografía
- Francisco is a New York based DJ born in Hampton, Virginia. His mother born from Barranquilla Colombia and Father born from San Pedro De Marcoris in the Dominican Republic.Francisco’s has a very strong connection to his Latin American heritage that is very evident in his music style Francisco and house music came together back in the early stages of the genre in 1988 when he was just six years old. His brother, already into the Chicago Style house scene, used to play records from the likes of Jesse Saunders, Mr. Fingers, Steve Hurley, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Larry Heard, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, and Frankie Knuckles all who are know as the true originators of house music. One record which is considered the catalyst for Francisco’s journey into house music was Todd Terry’s “Bango to the Batmobile”. Who knew that one track were the beginning stages of his growing career that carried him all the way to 2013. “I remember digging through my brother’s records and seeing this label with a big old “Fresh” on it I read the title and had to hear it… I was into batman back then, so I figured out how to operate the record player and then my mind was blown.” Francisco stated. He continued saying “I flipped the record and heard “Back to the Beat” and was hooked from that point on.” “Another one of my favorite classics, Jungle Brothers- I’ll house you” he states. “I have a very personal relationship with House Music because I grew up with it, it’s in my blood. I hear House music today and understand where it’s influences come from, something I believe not too many people understand or even know about.” He closes with saying, “My mother says it best, back in the day she would tell people, my kids always listened to that Hip Hop and Rap, but not Francisco, He always listened to music that went “boom, boom, boom, boom!” I love her for that!” You can loosly categorize Francisco’s style as Tribal/tech house mostly because he has a very unique music selection from varios styles. You will hear deep dark beats with Latin percussive influences, melodic vocals, and spoken word, all with a tribal and tech house flavor. Versatility is one of his specialties as he means to introduce the essence of true house music through all of his venues. With Modern day influences such as Oscar G, Chus & Ceballos, Patrick M, Richie Santana, Danny Tenaglia, Jonathan Peters, Carl Cox, Tony Puccio, Diego Palacio, Erich Ensastugue. .
