Biografía
- Artist, DJ, Producer, Hi-NRG founder and Common Ground co-founder. Focus on open format technical mixing––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Just after starting this alias I was offered a Rinse FM residency to my older alias (DJ SagePay) but asked if I could do it under the new name. I moved from CDJ to vinyl with the intention of cutting producer's tunes to acetate for my sets among some other changes in approach and also sound. During the Rinse FM residency (June 2019-June 2022) I wanted to showcase the weirder and more experimental sides of dance music and within that platform Women and LGBTQI+ artists. During the residency I also started a series which was a continuation of this idea called 'furious fm', first starting out as mixes but then turning into interviews (as I felt this was a more efficient way to platform people). After the end of my residency I wanted to focus on my own practise; DJ mixes, some production and also 'furiously screwed', a homage series dedicated to DJ Screw, made solely on tape players. This can be found accross my label Hi-NRG's bandcamp and Youtube/Mixcloud/Soundcloud. In 2021 me and my partner moved to Brighton, we co-founded 'Common Ground', a free social for Brighton-based producers and DJs in an attempt to build up what we felt was a fractured scene/community.
