2006 was the start of a house music journey for Liam Smyth and Byron Askham. Ever since the duo formed they have been refining the sound of FX2. So far their underground manoeuvres have taken them across the UK to venues such as Ministry of Sound, Pacha and The Emporium. Not to mention appearances in Ibiza that range from super club Eden to beach bar sets at Savannah and Kanya. In between these bookings FX2 have also experienced broadcasting on a global scale as they presented weekly internet radio shows for 2 years. Anyone who has seen or heard an FX2 performance will know that there is a broad taste in music on display and that this is a double act that offers something a bit different. Influenced by Deep, dark, twisted vibes and tech house grooves, it’s apparent that these two know what it takes to get a dance floor moving. It’s these influences that reflect on their production style too. The pair already has releases under their belt on Facetious Records, with their debut ‘The Gecko EP’ and a follow up entitled ‘Midnight Arrival’. To the present day FX2 hold a residency at Southampton’s very own ‘Junkclub’. Djing along side the likes of Smokin Jo, Jonathon Ulysses and D.Ramirez on a regular basis. As this dynamic duo continues to push the boundaries during their energetic sets they also strive for perfection as they hone their skills in the recording studio
