Having remixed the likes of Anneka, DA:10, Patterns in Plastic and Jesse Futerman, and produced 'an instant classic' album with folk singer Jono McCleery (Counter / Ninja Tune), he's striking out with 6 tracks of bass-inflected subterranean electronica. Fybe's favourite instrument, the harp, provides a loose theme for the EP, which cleverly marries luscious chords and delicate harp sequences with complex, haunting vocal chops and sparkling arpeggios. Fybe's lightness of touch makes for a result that is at once mature and edgy, as laid-back as it is forward-thinking. The EP is already receiving praise from the likes of Mary Anne Hobbs after being played on her XFM show in September. Harp also marks the first release from Shades Of Grey Recordings; a new imprint set up by Fybe, Duct and Owen Howells, and dedicated to showcasing the best emerging talent in the UK scene. Its launch party at Brixton's Plan B featured Pariah, Jamie Grind, Troy Gunner and following events included Gang Colours, WNCL, Sigha and Randomer.
