- Genji Yoshida, a techno and house DJ for a quarter of a century, combines the influences of his Japanese and German roots in his art. Genji's career is a mosaic of sound, color and culture, shaped by his passion for art.Genji Yoshida, an artist equally at home in the world of music and design, has been active as a techno and house DJ for a quarter of a century. Born from the union of a Japanese father and a German mother, Genji has developed a unique perspective on the world that is reflected in his work. His first encounter with techno at a young age had a lasting impact on his musical path. After studying fashion design and 10 years as a DJ, Genji turned to the graphic design industry. He learned the craft self-taught during an internship at a bikini label and has since implemented numerous projects in the areas of fashion, events and gastronomy. His DJ career took him to almost every club in Munich, including Pacha, Pimpernel, Heart, Bahnwachter Thiel, Harry Klein, Rote Sonne and Bob Beaman, as well as international appearances at the Carpe Diem Beach Club on the island of Hvar, at the Terrazzza Parties in Zurich and in Berlin clubs like Kater Blau, Ritter Butzke, Wilde Renate and Klunkerkranich. In recent years, Genji was responsible as a graphic designer for the Heart and the Hearthouse in Munich before taking on his current position as art director at the design agency All New Arts. Since 2021 he has also been responsible for the DJ program at the Do&Co Restaurant on Marienplatz and shares his expertise as a design lecturer at the Burke Academy. Genji is known for his positive energy and his passion for supporting and inspiring young talent.
