- Giri aka Gi Napoletano is a producer and dj based in Naples. His sound is a deep and hypnotic techno that finds inspiration in the second wave of Detroit techno and the darkest uk scene. Owner and founder of Antiterra records.Giri, aka Gi Napoletano, started playing music at a very young age in his native city, Naples, where, due to this fact and to his natural talent, he became a very know person in the community. His approach to music production occured with a fortune daw, a playstation videogame and since then he persued both passions: for synthesizers and sound design and for djing and records collection. His natural skills guided him towards the purest detroit techno of the second wave and the darkest english scene; through time he built a personal deep sound, a very raw and hypnotic techno groove, definable by a peculiar lavic noise which is recognisable in productions and djsets as well. But his djing skills manifests not only by the quality of music selection, he is capable to read the crowd waves, dragging it to a burning dancefloor, that can be wilder or darker or both. Three decks sets aren't missing in his curriculum in which there are performances with artists such as: Laurent Garnier, Steve Bicknell, Juan Atkins, Anthony Rother, Moritz Von Oswald, Octave One, Matthew Herbert, Scan7, Rolando, Recondite, Apparat e many others. Most significant album and ep releases are on labels like: Axis (Escape Velocity), Awry, Antiterra, Evod, No Signal, Labrynth, Prophet, New Rhythmic, Srie, Ketra and more. In 2020 Giri founded Antiterra records, that he wanted to be the tool to freely express his creativity and to more easily release. The label has its own character inspired by the sci-fi culture, which is another powerful influence in his art, sure enough the name within conteins the meaning of something wich perfectly specular and opposite to our earth.
