Biografía
- Grand Jeté is the duo made of two French DJs living in Sydney, Australia: Julian Wictor and Paul Jextra. They have a Residency at Club 77 and are regularly playing around the city.Grand Jete was born of two french guys who met in 2014 on a Sydney summer afternoon, soon afterwards Julian and Jay (Paul Jextra) became friends. They were playing records together during their free time to share new interesting music they had collected, with an obvious synergy that would led to bookings and eventually an official partnership. They cut their teeth in venues around Sydney such as Home, Spice Cellar, Goodgod, The Imperial Hotel, The Civic Underground, Tatlers and more recently Club 77. Together they've played for parties such as Picnic, Sash, Mantra Collective, Heavenly and Slowblow to name a few. Their signature sound comes from the fact that they both have a very different taste in music but somehow manage to keep coherence and energy during their sets. Julian used to be a dancer and has a preference for raw jams and classic house cuts whereas Jay is more of a experimenter with rare and obscure tracks.
