- HARDROCK STRIKER has been a vital player in the electronic music scene since 20 years, he's head of SKYLAX RECORDS.For over two decades, HARDROCK STRIKER has been a seminal force in electronic music, shaping the scene as a DJ, producer, and the visionary behind SKYLAX RECORDS. Emerging from his beginnings with Parisonic Records in collaboration with Peter Black, he seamlessly transitioned to found SKYLAX RECORDS, solidifying his imprint on the industry. Drawing from a rich tapestry of influences spanning noisy-punk, post-punk, new wave, glam, italo-disco, and Chicago's early electronic sounds, his musical journey intertwines with the evolution of LA's electronic scene. Through SKYLAX RECORDS, he continues to curate and champion groundbreaking artists, cementing his legacy as an institution in electronic music. He has produced more than 200 vinyl records since 2004, including those of Terre Thaemlitz, alias DJ Sprinkles, notably the LP "Routes not roots," which received the extremely rare rating of 5/5 on Resident Advisor (RA album of the year 2009), exploring conceptual elements and social commentary, particularly related to gender identity and sexuality, and boasts over a hundred contracted artists. He was the first to feature artists such as Daniele Baldelli, Beppe Loda, and DJ Sprinkles. The goal of these events mirrors the label: to bring an "old school" or even vintage vibe to the often stagnant and repetitive world of electronic music. Hardrock Striker has authored numerous singles and a splendid double retrospective CD compilation titled "Skylax House Explosion," curated and mixed by the queer legend DJ SPRINKLES & HARDROCK STRIKER, released via Kompakt Records. Three exclusive vinyl releases (Skylax House Explosion I, II, and III) accompanied this double compilation, featuring exclusives from the extensive SKYLAX catalog signed by masters like Move D, Octo Octa, Lauer, Jason Grove, Flabaire, Signal ST, and many others.
