- Heather M is a New York House DJ and founder of the successful event turned record label, Risky Business.Heather M creates "Feel Good" music! A native Texan turned Brooklynite, Heather M’s love affair with music started when she began playing the piano and the alto saxophone at age 12. Her interest blossomed throughout her late teens and into her early 20’s when she dove head first into the world of deejaying. Her career began as a radio/crossover house artist, making radio friendly songs and deejaying for high profile artists. By 2014 she found herself heavily involved in the underground scene. Her persona and musical style metamorphosized seemingly overnight on a strict diet of underground House, Tech House, & Deep House. Since co-founding “Risky Business”, the event turned record label combining an energetic festival vibe in an underground environment, Heather M has become one of NY's most respected players. Her new reputation has led her around the globe playing Electric Forest, Miami Music Week, ADE, Up North Music Fest, Gratitude Migration...and opening for big names including Mark Knight, Sonny Fodera, Stefano Noferini, and Super Flu. Her discography includes hit releases on Armada, Zulu, Cr2, Pacha, Solmatic, & Crowd Records. And she has been profiled by VICE, Dancing Astronaut, EDM Sauce, EDM Identity, EDM Network, Magnetic Magazine, and After Ellen. She is just getting started.
