- Herb Cabral is a DJ and house music and techno producer from Manila, PHHerb is one of those familiar fixtures in Manila’s house music & techno scene. When he began DJ'ing in the late 80s, the scene was bursting with disco, post-punk & synthpop and this has paved the way to his inclination to edgy house and techno later on. His regular pursuit as a DJ & producer is to contribute his own brand of sound to the local (and eventually international) electronic music scene. His gigs at underground clubs and lounges in Manila provides him a platform to constantly develop and experiment with his music. This has gained the attention of independent house and techno labels such as Asia Music (Southeast Asia), Funktrap Records (USA), Frameworkxx Records (The Netherlands), Berlin After Dark (USA), and Celestial Records (UK). Herb is a resident DJ of some of Manila's house and techno collectives and production outfits such as Deepgroove Collective, Footprints, Movement Sound System, and Konnekt. Being a part of these groups provide a creative collaboration of like-minded individuals. Herb sees these close friendships and alliances as a catalyst to improve each other’s roles as influencers of the scene
