- Experienced Deck Technician who is also the Founder of Sound Theory Productions one of SA's most up and coming IDM movements. A young talented producer with a flavour that tends to take u down a deep dark cavern where the beatz come from underneath...His sound can be defined as a twizted journey for the senses through sounds of doubt, search, investigation, fragments of a whole that always leave you thinking. Its this sound and seamlessly hypnotic style of mixing that has taken him to many of the finest clubs (Truth, Groove Bar, Sugar, Monage Cafe, Juice and More) in South Africa and holding numerous residencies. He has played alongside a list of International DJ's (Pete Bones, Defunct, Kanan K7 and More) and alongside most of SA's Finest and one of his finest moments was when he achieved his dream of taking over for Karmi Upstairz @ Truth. He has held a Friday night residency on Ikwekwezi FM a national radiostation which showcased the finest in deep house music every week on a Friday night from 10-12 for a period of about 6 months. As well as having been featured many times on International TV stations CHO’s(The 411), GO(Go Lounge) and MK Chat where his music touched the soul of Africa. He ran a very successful events company (Soul’d Out Productions) which has promoted and organised events all over South Africa including Joburg, Bloemfontein, Pretoria, Welkom, and more. The events featured some of the biggest names in the South African music industry and included CD launches for Sheer, EMI and Soul Candi. He has also worked as a promotional DJ for Premier Foods LTD one of SA’s biggest companies, travelling all over Gauteng daily, doing events for the companies brand promotion, marketing and customer relationship development. In 2009 things have really took off for him after having started Sound Theory, the company is already hosted events at various venues in and around Pretoria at venues including a Monthly event @ Stones Centurion, a once off event alongside the Phat and Filthy guys @ Lizzard's Lounge and our outdoor journey's @ 17 West. As a young producer his music has already been played on 5fm and is reaching ears all around the globe on the sound republic and dance web radio, having been the host of a show called, Sound Theory which showcased the finest in the Intelligent Dance Music scene and reaches the ears of all the music community globally. The show featured top local artists and international artist including Dr NoJoke himself. Now currently hosting the new Sound Theory show on Dance Web Radio. 2010 has been a big year thus far for both Hydro and Sound Theory with a weekly residency at Introspekt for Sound Theory and Circul8 at Juice played his first outdoor festival at the Tswaing Crater Festival in March and The Mafia Warmup at Pelindaba Nature Reserve.
