- Ian Rubert has been hailed 'The Next Big Thing' after winning the Mixcloud DJ competition judged by John Digweed, which led to him playing the Bedrock Arena at the 2012 SW4 Festival.Ian is a technically talented producer and dj from Liverpool, with an ear to the ground. His career started some 10 years ago in the dance music hub of Liverpool, where he has gathered influences from sasha and John Digweed, steve lawler and danny howells and has spent many a night on the dancefloor of cream and sankeys, over the years developing a distinct and unique deep progressive taste. His sets are always well compiled, fresh, punchy, and technically faultless as he builds his sets with energy behind the decks, leaving the floor, gagging for more.
