  • Ilkay Sencan, who has managed to create global hits more than once, continues to attract the attention of many music lovers around the world.
Ilkay Sencan first hit the spotlight in 2018 with a Turkish Number 1 for his remake of Burry Soprano’s ‘Mary Jane’. In 2019 he topped the Shazam charts with his single ‘Do it’, following by ‘Rockstar’ with Dynoro - a remake of Post Malone’s 2017 hit with ’21 Savage’ which gained massive support on several streaming platforms where Ilkay regularly averages upwards of 2.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify and boasts over 200 million YouTube views. Born in Istanbul, Ilkay first got the music bug at the age of 17 after a long love of listening to Trance music. After an intense year learning about various music software programs Ilkay began to remix his favourite tracks for himself and for the experience - a valuable learning curve that soon enabled him to carve out his own unique sound which can be described as ‘Gangster House’. In Ilkay’s own words “I’m heavily influenced by cool, gritty bass loops and like to mix these sounds on top of house beats. In my first year, I produced over 250 tracks”. In January 2020 Ilkay collaborated with the Belgian producer ‘Yves V’ and released the dance hit ‘Not So Bad’. The pairing cooked up a storm, lead by an echoed-out vocal from newcomer Emie, instantly recognisable from the Eminem/Dido classic ‘Stan’. The track is currently making high waves in the EDM scene and received international support, favoured by the likes of BBC Radio 1 and DJs including Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Oliver Heldens & MK. On top of this, Ilkay also released a new version of the hit ‘Mary Jane’ with the Swedish/ Persian singer Arash. The single embodies the overall sound of Gangster House alongside Arash’s trademark Persian melodic influence. Ilkay Sencan released the collaboration track “Don’t Say Goodbye” with Tove Lo’s vocals and Alok, who is one of the important artists in todays electronic dance music scene in September 2020. The track surpassed 200 million plays accumulating in streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music. and supported by famous DJ/Producers such as Armin Van Buuren, Bingo Players, Hardwell, Gryffin
