    One of Turkey’s leading figures in electronic music, Ilker Aksungar got his interests in music while hanging out at his uncle’s recording studio back in the early 80’s. His main influence DJ U.F.U.K who was working at this studio, helped him with the fundamentals of DJing. Murat Uncuoglu is also another influence on Ilker’s professional career. Ilker’s sound is mainly house music, but he also adds some electronica and techno to spice things up. He received an education from HIP Production & Sisli Municipalty`s “Music for Yout Project” in 2001, then Ilker began working there as a lecturer. Between 2004 and 2007 he traveled around Turkey with Burn & MTV Dance Heat project to lecture college students. Between 2007 and 2012 he performed with many Turkish artists in Fanta Youth Festival, Coca Cola Soundwave then he joined the Redbull Team and toured around Turkey. He started one of Turkey’s most comprehensive music platform HOUSEKEEPER in 2011. This platform releases podcasts; organizes music events and social charity events and so on. He has been doing his own radio show on radio FG 93.7 since 2005 and he was hired as an A&R in 2012. Same year he joined the residents of Indigo club and worked with respectable international acts. He worked as a jury and a mentor at MTV, Burn, Movida Corona, FG Newcommer, Bogazici University DJ Contest. He started working at SAE in 2015 as a lecturer. Ilker has appeared on stage with the names like Frankie Knuckles, Masters At Work, Mousse T., Noir, Joris Voorn, Carl Cox, Joe Claussell, Sasha & Digweed, DJ Koze at events like MTV Dance Heat, World DJ Fund, Creamfields Istanbul, Electronica Festival İstanbul, Global Gathering Istanbul, Coca-Cola Soundwave Tour, Rock’n Coke, Chill Out Festival, Formula 1, DIYNAMIC Festival Istanbul, Bremen Jazz Festival, Fanta Youth Festival, Nike Run İstanbul. Besides all this Ilker also worked at Nike Run İstanbul, Nike N+TC Tour, Nike Women Race as a music director.
