- DJ, Producer, On'Off DJ School TrainerIstra Tec - Biography HOW IT ALL STARTED Istra Tec started his career in Iasi, Romania, with residencies in some of the best local clubs like: Viper, Arena, Corso Party!, Byblos, Skin, Time Out, Queen's. He also was the resident of Azteca Club in Costinesti (the most popular youth resort by the Black Sea in Romania) for the summer of 2007. FIRST GIGS Listening to loads of music, fascinated by clubs and DJing since childhood, he decided to become himself a DJ - and later even an electronic music producer. His first gigs were in high-school when he was DJing to parties organized by his class-mates. Soon after that he had his first residency in Viper Club in Iasi, when he was only 18 years old. Since then Istra Tec is always up to learning new things relating to DJing and music production, improving his LIVE and DJ SETS. ACTIVITIES Istra Tec is involved in music production alongside his friend Cosmin Dias, having releases at Club-A-Club Records, Apparel Music, Crossworld Records and others. He is also involved in a LIVE project named The Tune Teasers (myspace.com/thetuneteasers) with Cosmin Dias and O. Sparks, and he has his own concept of parties, named Rich Colours Event (www.richcoloursevent.com). Since june 2009 Istra Tec is also a trainer at On'Off DJ School (www.onoffdjschool.ro), one of the most important DJ Schools in Romania, where he teaches subjects like "Marketing and Self Promotion", "Organizing and Promoting an Event" or "Introduction in Music Production". PRESENT AND FUTURE PLANS In present he is focused mostly on three things: music production, playing LIVE with the Tune Teasers or DJ SETS alongside his friend Cosmin Dias and teaching at On'Off DJ School.
