- Having moved in Berlin after living in Bologna for 25 years, Ivan Iacobucci has been a mainstay of his home country's house and techno scene since the early '90s.Ivan Iacobucci, also known under other aliases (Abstract Tune; A.T. , U-More, Retro Activity) was born in 1969 and began his professional career in 1983 in his hometown Pescara. In the 80s, the artist's favourite style was funky, disco and soul. With the advent of house music, around the 1990s, he became fascinated by the techno and house sound of Chicago and Detroit, switching from deep to new beat and electroclash, musical genres that still distinguish him today. In 1988 he moved to Bologna where he lived until 2013. During those years, the club culture was born in Bologna and the city became a musical reference point for many fans of electronic music. Iacobucci opened the first independent house music label in Italy in 1991: Hole records. In 2014, he decided to leave Italy to settle in Berlin. During his first years in the German capital, the artist began collaborating with Cabaret under the pseudonym U-More, releasing the EP The Slope. This record made him a major player of the Berlin music scene, where he still lives and works today. Ivan now has gigs in Berlin's top clubs such as Hoppetosse, Goldengate andClub der Visionaere. Among the best parties, Ivan remembers the one at the Panorama Bar/Berghain where he performed a few years ago together with Zip, owner of the legendary Perlon record label; a label on which he produced two records that are still very popular and well reviewed by critics: Logic Solution and Azymuth E.P.
