- The name is a joke but the beats are serious.IV Legend (Johnny Reyes) is a veteran of the underground music scene. Since he began spinning at the age of 14, his goal has been to make all people appreciate the potential, diversity and overall energy of electronic music. He began doing warehouse parties in the San Francisco/Oakland rave scene and later moved to Santa Barbara where he rocked Isla Vista and Downtown alike. His southward migration came to a halt in Los Angeles and, with Hollywood residencies under his belt, he turned his attention to production. IV Legend has reached out for the last 10 years to remix and produce music for the last all listeners. Although he has an insatiable taste for Big Room bangers, his real talent lies within his hypnotic minor melodies and almost-edible build-ups. Artists he has remixed during his production career include (but are not limited to) Katy Perry, Gabriel and Dresden, Fedde Le Grand, Alan Braxe, Justice, Ian Carey, Morcheeba, Kanye West, UNKLE, Dennis Ferrer, Ultrista and his remix of The Xx reached thousands of views with zero promotion. IV Legend has a supreme love for classics, so be sure to keep your ear out for new remixes and bootlegs of old house bangers in the coming year. As a DJ, IV lays down some dirty progressive electro beats, but, when the time is right, may get dark and deep with some house thumpers.
