These days Ivy is focused on production as one half of the duo, Stuck At Sea. With a thick synth based disco sound, they have solid releases for the past year on labels Gazeebo International, Audio Parallax, and Hotbox Music. Stuck At Sea has also recently wrapped up production of a joint EP in collaboration with heavy hitter keyboardist, Erik Deutsch. Ivy's event production is currently focused as co-founder of the successful Easy Killer - It's A Party series along with Ejay (Hotbox), Khalib (Treehouse Collective), and new crew member Inthin Aire. The party has had a successful stint in Colorado and is starting its San Francisco branch this spring. The semi-regular affair focuses on the slower tempos of house and disco with such past guests as DJ Raw Sugar, Sleazy McQueen, and Gazeebo. Ivy is also a resident DJ and graphic designer for the Communikey arts collective who are known for producing high quality events and the annual Communikey Festival. What they say: You know every DJ has style, but DJ IVY is known to rock many styles. In fact you might say, "diversity is the hallmark of his creed (his crate?)." Ivy forms a bridge between dance music and people who want to dance, bringing party people the serious love in many languages. Whether it's trip hop, hip hop, downtempo, dub, broken beat, break beat, house, techno, or what-have-you, Ivy loves to jam it. He's rocked at least a few parties every week for over a decade now, and isn't showing any signs of slowing. Weirdnerd.com There is a growing sound in Colorado and the man watering it with his sweat and dedication is know as Josh Ivy. Winner of the Westword's Best DJ of 2002, 2003, 2006, and 2008 - frequent flyer and Denver representative to gigs all over the United States and one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Selecta Roswell, Underground Network. Josh Ivy has been typecast as a trip-hop DJ, better known for laying out cerebral, chilled-out grooves than sweaty, banging dance sets. But while Ivy is arguably the best down-tempo DJ in the city, the kid can also rock a party at 130 beats per minute. Westword.com
