Following his placing 3rd in the UK’s Muzik Magazine-Bedroom Bedlam Mix Competition in 2001 at the age of 17 (as the only American), Joe embarked upon a successful period on the Phoenix club circuit, playing all over and securing a residency at Club Freedom. Studies in composition, piano, and conducting began in 2002 at San Francisco State University, demanding the utmost dedication. A hard choice was made: the DJ world would have to wait.
