After highschool graduation, Johannes m..Since his early childhood years, Johannes always felt this certain urge for musical creativity, which he channeled in manic drums and piano playing with like-minded people in his childhood home Frankfurt am Main. After highschool graduation, Johannes moved to Cologne to study jazz drums, where he also started deejaying, and quickly made a name for himself in the vivid house and techno scene of the city. Here he also founded the internationally acknowledged vinyl label "ancient future now" and was significantly involved in the development and opening of the by-now renowned Cologne club institution "JackWho", where he is a resident DJ and booking agent. Besides all of those acitivities, Johannes also made a reputation as a top-notch drummer - with bands like the up-and-coming pop act VIMES or his own krautjazz band C.A.R. - as well as a sought after producer, for example trough his Latewood EP (2015), which attracted highest attraction in the international club scene, or a release on legendary Japanese label Mule Musiq in 2016. This led to a busy touring schedule as a DJ and drummer to places and clubs all around the world, be it in Germany, Europe, America or Asia. Stylistically there has never been a point in Johannes' life, where you could have pinned him down to just one genre or musical direction. He is deeply convinced that the occasional thinking outside the box will help you create more exciting art. This is also reflected in his DJ sets, which can offer tasteful eclectic genre-hopping on the one day and straight consistent deepness on the other night.
