- Jordan Plant is a Leeds based House DJ and producer and resident for Teknicolor at the MiNT club, with releases on VIVa Music.From his early days a drummer, it wasn't until a chance trip to Ibiza and hearing the seducing sounds of DC10, Space and Cocoon that a new musical direction evolved, developing a deep appreciation of rhythm and percussion. The old love of groove based music was transferred to more minimal, electronic forms, learning to mix on his brother's old turntables. After rising the ranks in his local area and choosing to move to Leeds, it's here that he found his home at the renowned MiNT club, earning a residency for Leeds only weekly night of underground house music: Teknicolor. Through this time helping push the night to one of the leading fixtures in Leeds fruitful underground music scene and making appearances for the likes of The Zoo Project, Parklife Festival and Mint Festival. In 2012 one of his tracks came to the attention of Darius Syrossian who selected it to be released on Steve Lawler's 'VIVa Music' imprint. The track ‘Do What You Do’ was favourited by many on the scene including Hot Since 82 and was then chosen to be included on the VIVa Music Best Of 2012 compilation mixed by Julian Perez. Skip to 2016 and a new collaborative project had grown with good friend Mac White of London, the results being the 3 track 'Benirras EP' released on Basswalk Records.
