Always a savant in the house music community, Jordan Strong helped unify a movement in electronic music along the West Coast from Los Angeles to Seattle and beyond. In 1997, Jordan joined forces with Ramiro Gutierrez and Mikey Tello of Pillowtalk to create the seminal collective Uniting Souls, one of the longest lasting, successful crews in the U.S. He now serves as resident DJ and head of A&R for the Uniting Souls label. Most recently he’s solidified residencies with Oahu mainstay Centered and La Aldea crew in Costa Rica. Currently, he’s working on his own imprint, Wave Machine, as well as a new project with Midnight Lovers. Jordan is heralded as a unique underground DJ, creating an ever-evolving sound at the progressive forefront. His selection is eclectic, traversing house music’s rich history, from disco to techno and everything in between. Whether headlining at Las Vegas Palms Hotel’s New Year’s Eve Playboy suite or Santa Theresa’s legendary Ranchos Itaunas beachfront event, Grand Park Sessions in LA or Seattle’s iconic Flammable, Jordan imparts a smooth and provocative mood. Jordan’s many productions have often charted on Beatport and Traxsource. His first Uniting Souls release, “Be The Light,” earned a spot on Mark Farina’s Ministry of Sound Top 10 chart in 2005. His releases on Touch of Class (NYC), Wulfpack (LA), Tilted Records (Seattle), and Housepitality (Chicago) have since drawn international airplay and support from the likes of Kraak & Smaak, Doc Martin, Jay Tripwire, Pezzner, Blond:ish, among many others. He’s currently slated to release on Jeno’s legendary Wicked Record and Doc Martin’s Sublevel label. In the spirit of compassion, Jordan has produced fundraisers benefitting NextAid for the construction of a South African orphanage, for Give A Beat, whose mission is to reduce harmful effects of incarceration; and “Reaching Out” galas benefitting those affected by natural catastrophes. He continues to revel in watching people from all walks of life come together on the dancefloor in conscious unity from Costa Rica to Los Angeles and beyond.
