- Josef Lupo started his musical education some 15 years ago and after attending his first rave he was hooked on electronica music and knew that would be where his path would lead. Purchasing a Korg Electribe he started producing left field trip hop unde..Josef Lupo started his musical education some 15 years ago and after attending his first rave he was hooked on electronica music and knew that would be where his path would lead. Purchasing a Korg Electribe he started producing left field trip hop under the alias “Jyscal’. Not long after, he was introduced to underground house music and was hooked. After experiencing success on the underground techno scene as one half of ‘Drop the Zombie’ Lupo started work on his solo material, with his first E.P released on Anonima Recordings in 2011. Lupo’s sound is heavily influenced by classic Detroit house, with an emphasis on the percussion. His energetic DJing style has led to him being made a resident of one of London’s leading underground house nights ‘ Bad Apple’ and play gigs at many renowned house nights both in the UK and across the continent in europe as well as the white isle of IBIZA including playing at Noahs Ark (Zoo Project Ibiza), the Bunker (Ibiza) and Day and Night (London). Since the release of his first solo E.P Lupo has gone from strength to strength, with further releases in the pipe line and a new home at TRAKSIDE as well as DJ sets at some of Europe’s most prestigious venues, 2012 looks set to be a big year for the this talented up and coming artist.̸Talk E.P on Anoimna Recordings, The Saved Message E.P on Trackside Audio
