- DJ/Producer Co-owner: flurtaudioEmanating from the new crop of DJs and producers surfacing from the East Side of London, Josh Smith has been cultivating his techniques and skill set as both producer and DJ in the Rominimal and Microhouse scene. His musical craft incapsulates the Eastern European sound and energy with his carefully curated stripped back selections and well structured sets. This is displayed throughout his mixes and production which consists of dark rhythmic undertones, moody ambient textures and organic percussions which contrasts perfectly with those raw punchy basslines. An artisan behind the dials and the buttons Josh has had multiple records released on household Romanian labels such as ‘Carpathian Sounds’ ‘PhonicHouse1’ ‘The Lab’ to name a few, alongside having featured guest mixes for renowned labels such as ‘Zebra Records’ and ‘Outpunkt Records’ respectively. In recent months Josh has taken his attention to establishing and developing his own brand and record label ‘flurt’ with the concept of taking a more mysterious experimental approach to Minimal & Microhouse.
