- JP Phillippe is fast becoming one of the most respected in his class. His music is heavily based in deep house and tech house flavours but his love of classical and jazz music shine through into his electronic productions. An artist to watch out for no..JP, an eighties kid, began his musical journey with a string of forays into classical music performances and orchestras. He performed in the Royal Albert hall and festival hall with many an orchestra in his younger days. This along with classically training in piano and various other instruments, allowed him to develop great understanding of musical performances in live scenarios. JP's hidden passion was creating electronic music in his personal time, with his sequencing equipment and electronic gadgets at home. JP went on to educate him self in production methods and dj-ing, where upon he furthered his interest with higher education in popular music and music technology. After moving to Derby and complteting his degree John Paul decided to showcase his live performances using technology and dj equipment under the guise of the Cheatmen with Paul Jones (Mr Jones), and they created many successful nights around the Derbyshire and Nottingham area, John Paul doing live Ableton mix sets with live synths years before the major djs had even heard of it "This guy truely represents cutting edge techniques and skills." JP now runs the successful record label "Disclosure Project Recordings" and has now released numerous tracks Under various Guises a.k.a Disclosure Project, JP & Jones, Cheatmen, JP has also licensed to various other labels including: Night Drive, Deep Class,Etoka, Acryl, Soul Industries, Exquisite, Behaviours Elavation, Jouneys by DJ, Bellarine, Vivid Trax. JP Spends many an hour in the studio, but can be found from time to time throwing down sets on international radio stations and in various venues. So look out!
