Biografía

  • Julian Poker needs no introduction to electronic music lovers worldwide. He is professional since he was 17, Julian has not stopped playing or making music. From that point he has played at hundreds booths around the globe. Miami, Tokyo, Paris, Moscow,..
When someone asks Julian about his name, he tells a joke among young friends when he was 15. That cards game joke baptized him. From there, there is nothing more arbitrary or accidental in his career. Julian Poker needs no introduction to electronic music lovers worldwide. He is professional since he was 17, Julian has not stopped playing or making music. From that point he has played at hundreds booths around the globe. Miami, Tokyo, Paris, Moscow, NYC, Mexico, Marrakech and Madrid, of course, are some cities that have witnessed his ability and talent to understand the dance floor. A balance, always floating in the thin line between mainstream sound (demanded by the crowd) and musical innovation. Simultaneously, Julian has always needed to create their own music. He made his very first production for Arcade Music (Dance sublabel of Sony) in 1996, and from there, the rest is history: His eclectic and off-road work has allowed to work for the best companies in the world. From big multinationals (Warner, Universal, Sony, etc. ..) or indie electronic labels (Star 69 Black Holes, Stereo, Forensic, etc ...) He is very lucky of producing music for great artists such as Jocelyn Brown, Loleatta Holloway, Peter Rauhofer, Cevin Fisher, Gabriel & Dresden, Rui da Silva or Cycle. Any of his tracks (remix or original), is considered a masterpiece and a essential tune in the DJ bag of the best tops in the world. John Digweed, Roger Sanchez, Tiesto, Armin Van Buren, Danny Tenaglia, Axwell, Hernan Cattaneo, Victor Calderone, Erick Morillo, Nic Fanciulli, Francesco Farfa, Dave Seaman, or Nic Fanciulli are some of the artists that have played his monster tracks. Here are the facts: Almost 20 years behind the decks, and more than a hundred successfully productions (mos of them). It´s not a surprise that Julian Poker becomes a key reference for understanding House in Spain. His music is part of the soundtrack of a lot of clubbers, and the inspiration for young DJs and producers who have grown up listening to his sets or records.
