- Born as the son of a biologist, Julika was raised in the McMurdo research station in one of the most desolate places on earth.............. Antartctica.Julika. During childhood, Julika was home schooled by his mother who was also a classical pianist. She taught him everything he needed to know including how to read and write music and introduced him to soul and disco music. Through the internet Julika discovered techno and began tuning in to many internet radio shows to find more electronic music. As the passion grew, Julika saved up enough money through tedious work as a lab assistant to purchase a Macbook and Logic and started viewing youtube tutorials on how to learn the program. Through more research of the "techno phenomenon", via ebay, Julika began purchasing classic musical instruments that the detroit guys used, like a 808, 909, 303, 101 and several EMU synths and Julika's productions started sounding as good as well known artists on the international techno circuit. Julika was given the opportunity to remix the classic Bush Records release, Devilfish - Manalive.
