Once born his first Toy, as a toddler was a Fisher price piano in which the sounds introduced him to tone. His progression on the piano continued when he was five. He began to develop his musical talent and pursue his love of the instrument. Without doubt Karim had been born with a gift; he could recreate new melodies he heard around him with ease. These laid the foundations for him to begin to capture the creative energy within and begin to produce his own melody lines. Opening the flaming red box of a Commodore Amiga 500 started a new stage of experimentation. When he was twelve he used the Commodore to multi layer tracks. Octamed or Digital Sound Studio are names that have a very special meaning for Karim, they gave him the foundations for him to emerge as a producer. At 15 he bought his first Electronic instrument the MC-303 and this led his on the road to Electronic dance music. Along side his best friend Simon Garcia, Simon & Shaker was born. The pair had huge successes around the World playing in more than 50 countries. His discography contains classic tracks that have appeared on most of the world’s most prestigious labels. Today Karim Shaker prepares another twist in the tale. A new beginning has started with a new more developed sound that highlights his inner atmospheres. Working alone has given him the chance to discovery new territories that have been dormant.
