Driven by a wild and untamed creativity, his unique slant on house music uses live instrumentation and draws on influences from James Brown to Jamie Jones - integrating funk as a component in each of his records. Catching the ears of the industry, Karuva’s productions have been aired on BBC Radio 1, BBC 1XTRA, Kiss FM, Dirtybird Radio and Toolroom Radio, featured by Mixmag and been the subject of two national TV interviews. Artists championing his music include Danny Howard, Claude VonStroke, Roger Sanchez, Golf Clap, Mark Knight, Erick Morillo, Kolombo, Will Clarke, Illyus & Barrientos, Billy Kenny and Davide Squillace. Behind the decks, Karuva has enjoyed rocking UK clubs including Steel Yard, Village Underground, Tobacco Dock, The Arch, Lightbox, 93 Feet East and Basing House, Chinese venues including Galaxy and Ibiza venues including Bora Bora and Savannah (along with warm up sets for the likes of Yousef, Ramin Rezae and Amine Edge). Next up is a forthcoming live show - which will incorporate electric guitar, drums, slap bass and freestyle synths into his DJ sets.
