Co-founder of DIY-rave Exile (2013-2014) Former Culture Box resident (2012-2016)Kasper Melchior is without a doubt one of the most respected players in the vibrant Copenhagen techno scene. Hailed as a genuinely skillful DJ and a much favored promoter in the region with a razor sharp ability to read and challenge crowds without compromise, Kasper has earned his position through hard work and a great deal of generosity. In a world governed by self-interest, opportunism and sharp elbows, this is no small feat. This is shown reflected his residency at Culture Box (2012-2016) and co-running DIY techno events Exile (2013-2014), which in a high sense was the ignition that helped spark the new and flourishing Copenhagen techno scene we see today. Today Kasper Melchior is resident at Copenhagen techno hotspot Et Andet Sted. A no-photo club with zero-tolerance towards discrimination, where he curates the club night Extended Family that has a similar strong focus on inclusion, anti-elitism and unity throughout the scene. In other words; no bullshit. In the past years, the rest of Europe has been noticing Kasper, leading to gigs at several big clubs such as Griessmühle and ://aboutblank in Berlin, Uebel&Gefärlich in Hamburg and Inkonst in Malmö, among others.
