- With over 22 years of musical experience, Kiko Martinez is known for his radio production www.docepulgadas.com, where week after week he brings listeners his selections from smart and elegant deep house to powerful and effective techno for dancefloors...His career began in 1988, more than 22 years ago, in Valencia (Spain), his place of birth and residence and a city which was a leader in cutting edge international music at that time. In his early work as a DJ, he has performed in clubs across his city while developing his work in radio, a passion which he possesses to this date and has given him great prestige and professional recognition. In 2006 he began his radio project www.docepulgadas.com, and in only 5 years, he has been able to position it internationally as one of the most important radio shows in the advanced underground music circuit worldwide. DocePulgadas is currently produced in both Spanish and English (Alberto Sola) for 14 radio stations in countries like Spain, Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Greece, United Kingdom, Australia, Hungary, Russia and Japan. In addition, each week on “Focus on”, the second part of the show, exclusive mixes by international artists from some of the best house and techno labels nowadays are presented, and are in turn featured on the weekly podcast (OHMcast) of the popular clubbing website www.onlyhousemusic.org. Thanks to his extensive professional background, his sets have been heard in clubs around Spain in cities like Seville, Zaragoza, Barcelona or Madrid. Also noteworthy are his visits as a guest DJ in clubs such as U60311 and Vinyl Bar in Frankfurt (Germany), where he shared the stage with artists such as Robert Babicz (Systematic), Alex Flatner (Circle Music), Ben Klock (BPtich control), Ryan Crosson (M_nus) and Audio Werner (Perlon) to name a few.
