- Kleinlaut alias Ixel & CaecilianHISTORY IXEL Ixel (bis Ende 2007 2Face) startete seine Musiklaufbahn bereits 1996 als DJ im berliner Umland. Damals interessierte er sich hauptsächlich für House Music und legte diese wenig später auch in verschieden Clubs dort auf. Dabei beeinflusste ihn allerdings die Berliner Clubszene maßgeblich. Wichtige Anlaufpunkte waren dabei u.a. das legendäre E-Werk und der Globus im Tresor. Als er 1999 schließlich nach Berlin zog, unternahm er zugleich seine ersten Gehversuche als Musikproduzent. Verschiedene kleine Projekte folgten, sowohl im DJ als auch im Producing Bereich, an denen er wuchs und viel Erfahrung sammelte. 2004 gründete Ixel das Projekt KLEINLAUT woraufhin sich bis Heute viele Gigs in ganz Deutschland aber auch im europäischen Ausland für ihn und seinen Partner "Caecilian" ergaben. Dabei bewegen sich die beiden auf gekonnte Weise zwischen minimalenHouse- und minimalen Technobeats. Womit sie sich über die Jahre viele Fans erspielen konnten. Weiterhin betreiben die Jungs seid einigen Jahren eine Radioshow Namens "Symbiostic Radio" (www.symbiostic.de), auf dem regelmäßig bekannte als auch gute unbekannte Acts zu hören sind. Gleichzeitig organisieren Ixel & Caecilian regelmäßig Veranstaltungen unter dem Titel "Symbiostic". 2007 erschien eine erstes Single von von den beiden auf Subversive Media (Kleinlaut - Inerrupt Puzzle / VA Compilation / Subversive Media 001) Ende 2008 releaste Ixel seine erste Single auf Meleon Music (Ixel - Weeds / Weekend EP / VA Compilation / Meleon 012). Anfang 2009 folgt nun gleich ein Remix auf Flicker Rhythm (Daniel Briegert - Konterwodka incl. Ixel RMX / Flicker 016). Außerdem arbeitet er zur Zeit, in zusammenarbeit mit Caecilian, sowohl an einer ersten Kleinlaut EP als auch an seiner ersten Solo EP. Beide werden vorraussichtlich bis Mitte 2009 erscheinen. Weitere Releases sind in Planung. His journey into the digital world of music and the first own producing experiments began as the first music software came out. One year later, djing didn’t pass by, too. At the beginning there was Drum and Bass sounds commanding, until he started visiting the legendary Technoclub “Omen” in Frankfurt a.M. in 1997. The Sound there modified his own, and so Techno came up to him. After numberless dj gigs in clubs and open air arrangements in and around frankfurt, the country became too tight for him and Berlin awaked his increasing interest. In 1999 he started visiting the capital of Germany where he became acquainted to his live act partner. Two years later he relocated to Berlin City and spend his time exclusively the 3 turntable djing and his Live Acts called “Central Translation”. His knowledge in the digital and analogy matter delved also his reeducation to media designer in picture and sound. This reeducation awoke his passion for radio and in may 2004 you first time could here on UKW, Cable and internet stream: “here’s Symbiostic Radio”. The Radio show isn’t only a platform for him; it’s more a promotion area for acts, artist’s and newcomer from Berlin and Frankfurt a.M. also to connect these two cities even more together. By the way Symbiostic radio was already supported by Chris Liebing, W.J. Henze, Good Groove, Yapacc, LunaCityExpress, Chris Hope, Alfred Heinrichs, Terrence Parker, Agaric, Staffan Linzatti, Jorge Savoretti, Mike Wall, Sebastian Herre, David Keno, Mutlu + Ruede Hagelstein, Gurtz, Click Click and many many more. Besides Live Acts, back to back Dj set..s and much more find today place in his transmission. Fast contact came off to many artists and organizers in the area Berlin and Frankfurt/Main. The thought lay near to organize with other organizers in the sense of a symbiosis parties together. Beside Caecilian built up his own artist area with the best acts he met and worked with. Meanwhile the Sound of Symbiostic moved mainly to the minimal Techno style. Caecilian's sound today covers itself from minimal, playful beats, up to tech house. He is also a part of the DJ-Team "Kleinlaut" and "Served Level".
