- Techno music producer / DJ / aficionadoKostas Maskalides is a music producer, performer and sound designer born in Athens, Greece. Highly acclaimed for his techno productions, he takes pride in his work with an impressive catalogue of releases on some of the industry’s top labels. His humble beginnings date back to late 90’s when his passion for sound engineering led him to recording studios and occasional performances as a DJ in clubs. Inevitably in 2009 he started producing techno music and soon enough became a recognized figure in the scene with releases on Phobiq, AnalyticTrail, Funk’n Deep Records, Respekt Recordings, 1605, Rhythm Converted, Riot, Driving Forces, Nachtstrom Schallplatten and many more. With a constant focus on quality releases and countless energy-fuelled international performances Kostas has slowly but steadily earned the respect of techno goers across the globe. He has collaborated, remixed and had his works remixed by some of the most influential artists in the techno circuit, such as Umek, Sasha Carassi, Reinier Zonneveld, Pleasurekraft, and dozens more. In the highlights of 2017 Kostas released “Furnace” on “Phobiq” which became one of the year’s bestselling techno records as the title track hurled into Beatport’s top 100 techno charts for more than 4 consecutive months! The EP was heavily supported by the industry’s heavyweights most noticeably by Adam Beyer who dropped Pleasurekraft’s remix on “Awakenings” festival and Deadmau5 who included the original in his residency mix for “BBC’s radio 1” with complementary commentary!
