■Kouichi Hirose ( KSR / WEEKEND WARRIORZ ) Thanks to his unique musical sensibilities as a meticulous sound maker, Kouichi Hirose has found himself in demand as remixer for numerous Japanese and international artists. From the organic sound palettes of South America, to Europe-influenced electronica, he consistently receives accolades from peers worldwide for his broad grasp of the world's music, as well as his diverse musical selection and mixing skills.  An intense passion for the honest sound of "house" via its multiple interpretations of dance music is truly what defines him as a DJ, and his ability to allow the uniqueness of songs come through while also fusing them into something greater than just the sum of parts, is precisely what fuels the enthusiasm of his audience while igniting dance floors everywhere. In 2010, he was chosen as Grand Prize winner of the "Patagonica DJ Contest", receiving heavy support worldwide for his precision mixing skills, track selection, and inspired sense of groove. In 2011, he was invited for a 2 week tour of Chile/South America, expanding his global reach and fan base. Since 2012, he has been resident DJ & Creative Director of "Weekend Warriorz", one of Tokyo’s top musical creative teams, allowing him to develop and improve his uniquely precise sound while expanding his musical "story" and creative output. This has lead to an influx of remix projects such as Datakestra's "Distance Remix Pt. 1 Kouichi Hirose Remix" (label: Unknown season), Steve Aoki feat. Lovefoxxx - "Heartbreaker" (label: KSR/Ultra). He has also collaborated on boundary/genre-crossing musical projects with legendary Japanese artist Yama a.k.a. Sahib & Through Tone, developed his own "Kouichi Hirose and Droppers Project", releasing the debut single "Dropper" while also partnering with Tokyo’s own J-Wave FM radio producer Akira Ishii (of Gilles Peterson’s "worldwide" show fame) for the track "Ruffled House". 2013 saw him gain further acclaim via remixes for legendary deep house producer Ian Pooley ("Bring me up feat. Dominique Keegan - Kouichi Hirose Remix"), as well as remix projects for Chile’s top producer DJ Wask. 2013 also saw him tour as a member of Weekend Warriorz’ "Asia Exchange Project", bringing his unique sound to Korea. Kouichi Hirose kicks 2014 off with a bang, as he joins the on-air team of popular radio show "T.O.N.Y." heard on Block.FM, Japan’s top dance music radio station. http://block.fm/program/tony/
