- Latmos Is a Finnish Techno producer, DJ, Live Artist and the host and founder of Algorytmi Radio podcast.In the background of every Latmos track there is a higher motif of personal spirituality and the labyrinthine puzzles of the human mind. Latmos pours these elements into his layered and submersive soundscapes, which are driven with a highly detailed rhythmic backbone. Latmos drew attention in the Techno community with his strong debut 12" EP Pool of Intuition, released on Samuli Kemppis and Frederik Hatsavs label Blacklabel Distillery, in 2018. The bewitching debut EP incorporates cavernous soundscapes and detailed textures into a minimalistic, yet very functional Techno aesthetic. Alongside with Blacklabel Distillery founders Kemppi and Hatsav, the EP includes a remix from Mike Parker, a hypnotic Techno pioneer. Latmos states Kemppi and Parker to be one of the first producers, that got him interested in Techno in the first place. The debut EP got support around the world from various Techno heavyweights like: Oscar Mulero, P.E.A.R.L, Dino Sabatini, Magna Pia and Dimi Angelis to name a few. In 2019 Latmos founded his podcast Algorytmi Radio. The key element of the podcast is to support smaller labels and interesting artists in the field of Techno, Ambient, Drone and Experimental Electronic Music. In 2020 Latmos released his second EP The Healing Ritual on the Italian label DNC Limited, founded by Manuel Ro. The EP includes two original tracks of enchanting Ambient Techno. The EP is finished with a remix by a fellow young producer Einox and a collab track with a Finnish producer Tulva'' aka Softie. In the Fall of 2020 Latmos is releasing his third EP Plural Lifeforms on the Italian label Subosc. On the EP he is delivering four original tracks of submersive and textured Techno. Thematically the EP focuses on the human subconscious, the interplay between an individual and it's environment and human interaction, emphasizing equlity and human rights. "Plural Lifeforms" puts emphasis on equality and human rights recurring to an evolving groove and a heavy action of bleepy and hypnotic elements. In "Genom", liquid synths and ethereal elements are interleaved with a ritualistic high-decay kickdrum blended with a reverberated ambiance. "Sinking" presents a more detailed ambient texture and fast-paced rhythmic patterns. Sharp reverberated hi-hats create expansive and hallucinatory effects in the background. "Algorytmi" reworks the vibe of the EP implementing a basic structure that makes the track playable in different contexts. Overall, a very interesting EP for the lovers of classy techno.
