- Laura has grown to become one of Australia's most talented and sought after techno artists. Paving the way in the underground scene and emerging as a true star.Laura King is the face of Australia’s contemporary techno scene. For the last six years she’s been paving the way in the underground scene and keeping Aus up to speed with what’s hot OS in her own unique way - infusing Aussie bush flavours and just enough old school charm yet always striving for a future focused performance that is enigmatic but always relevant. Laura is an intuitive mixer with a very tactile method, always looping, switching between 3-4 decks and has impressive skills in cross-mixing genres. Her signature high energy sets combine contemporary hard dance, old school tribal hardgroove, hip hop vocals, psychedelic techno, a touch of prog/psy trance, dubstep, drum n bass and all things fast, quirky and bottom heavy. Laura released her first original at the start of the year (Our Sun is a Star) and plans for continuous releases from here on end. She’s performed at every esteemed festival, event and club across the country. Add to that her regular shows in New Caledonia and Bali and her reputable, sell out ‘Dreamland’ events where she plays extended sets for up to five hours - it’s easy to see why this enthralling force of female energy is a crowd favourite wherever she goes. Recent shows include Piknic Electronik 6 years as a resident, PURE Carl Cox, Festival X, Pitch Festival, Beyond The Valley festival as well as residencies for Bloom nightclub and a stack of other reputable events and bush doofs around the country.
