Biografía

  • Liverpool's Lauren Lo Sung is all about the groove. Whether she's heading up the A&R on her label LOLiFE Records or curating the next LOLiFE club night, the producer/DJ/label boss leans into groovy sounds where connecting with her audience is priority.
Since starting out as a DJ over a decade ago in Manchester and Liverpool before launching her club night LOLiFE at 18, Lauren has evolved into a multi-talented, internationally recognised artist. Breaking through on a global scale in 2016 when she warmed up for Carl Cox during the final season of his party 'Music is Revolution' in Space, Ibiza, Lauren's trajectory has continued to ascend. Crobar in Argentina, Space in Miami, Watergate in Berlin, Drumsheds in London (Britain's first 15,000 cap club), DC-10 and Hï in Ibiza are a handful of clubs the Liverpudlian has soundtracked in recent years. Closer to home, Lauren is a regular fixture in venues' fabric, The Warehouse Project, and Enzo Siragusa's party FUSE. In 2023, Lauren ticked off her Glastonbury debut with a rumbling set for a heaving crowd beneath the Rave Tree — a true testament to her versatility as a selector and ability to captivate new audiences. While Lauren's collection delves into groovy house, summery garage and shadowy dub, she's not afraid to throw in a classic at just the right moment. Drawing inspiration from the UK's hedonistic house scene of the 90s, cultivated by iconic clubs The Haçienda and Cream, Lauren can upend a low-ceilinged rave cave in seconds or engage a stadium-sized dancefloor from the first beat. The same goes for Lauren's productions. In the studio, she focuses on finding the groove and dabbles in everything from big room hooks to more B-side-appropriate, hazy underground sounds. Releases on PIV, Shall Not Fade, Locus, and her own imprints, LOLiFE and e1even records, feature in her evolving discography. When she's not touring or producing, Lauren runs her long-running brand LOLiFE. The event leg of the platform champions quality music, creating an intimate, fun and inclusive space for like-minded partygoers. Over the past 14 years, Lauren has toured the party across the UK and Europe, inviting guests like Dyed Soundorom, Cinthie, and East End Dubs. Morphing into a label in 2019, the vinyl-led LOLiFE Records supports emerging and well-known producers like Len Lewis, Phreaks of Visions and DJ Steaw, and Lauren's own solo releases. Born and raised by a family of ravers, Lauren's parents gifted her her first set of decks at 11. Three years later, she was sneaking into local clubs with her older sister, who played a pivotal role in introducing Lauren to dance music. Today, Lauren remains just as enthralled by club culture and the warm, wavey sounds of house. Running two record labels and one event series between managing a stacked tour schedule spanning Europe, the Americas and Australia, Lauren Lo Sung's relentless drive and enthusiasm for DJing, producing and enriching Liverpool's dance music circuit is why she's one of the most consistent and widely respected artists in the UK.
