UK-based artist Leif has spent the past decade exploring electronic music as a vehicle for meditation and reflection. His sound has evolved over 20 EPs and three acclaimed albums, most recently appearing on labels such as AD93, Livity Sound and Idle Hands as well as co-running UntilMyHeartStops with fellow Freerotation resident Joe Ellis. Over time, his subtle approach has shifted further away from the forthright propulsion of house and techno towards the more abstract - drawing on myriad elements from the rhythmic flair of broken beat to spacious ambient atmospherics, acoustic instrumentation and polyrhythmic melodic patterns. 2020 saw Leif introduce a new ambient live set, following a commission from London's Barbican Centre to compose and perform a soundtrack as part of their 'Silent Film and Live Music' series. The live set continues to evolve, expanding on musical themes hinted at in releases such as his 2019 album Loom Dream.
