Biografía

  • Locic is an Italian Dj and producer with a unique perspective on the world of music. He has progressed through the trials and tribulations of the music industry and developed a unique style that is mesmerising.
    Carlo Barassi, known as Locic, whose roots are based in Como city, Italy. The glint in his eye began while in Berlin as a teenager when he saw Marco Resmann play an only vinyl set at Arena, watching him play enkindled desire for him and this is the moment his love for the turntables began. Shortly after that at the age of 18 he became a resident at Rainbow in his hometown opening for DJ’s Onur Ozer, Sonja Moonear, Dewalta, Mike Shannon, Toby Newman, Guti and Francesco del Garda, Sonodab, and Archie Hamilton. His next residency came when he played at Dance Tunnel, UK, there he had the opportunity to play alongside artists such as Pelle, Giammarco Orsini, Gescu and Lamache. He then moved to London for some years where he began to play for underground parties Point and Premise, also becoming an artist at Arupa Music. Having now seasoned his eclectic ear in such great company he began to write and release vinyl with labels T-REX Records, MUMBLE and Forclubrecord which inspired him to build his brand with Label Arcenciel Recording that has gained love from artists Arapu, Raresh, Nastia, Gescu, Cosmjn and Eizelkind with tracks played at festival favourite Sunwaves. Locic is now a resident for Native based in Bucaresti, RO, which has seen him play at clubs Kristal and Database in Timisoara, RO alongside Cab drivers and Djebali.
