- When LRCN hits the decks, dancers and listeners can expect to groove to the converging sounds of progressive house/trance, tech house, electro house, deep house and/or whatever he feels like playing at the time. When feeling frisky, and in the privacy..When LRCN hits the decks, dancers and listeners can expect to groove to the converging sounds of progressive house/trance, tech house, electro house, deep house and/or whatever he feels like playing at the time. When feeling frisky, and in the privacy of his home studio, he has been known to play his older trance or drum & bass records. Growing up on the Navajo Reservation, LRCN was inspired by artists of many backgrounds. His early musical inspirations are varied, including artists like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Deep Purple, and many other classic-rock acts. While attending Middle School/Junior High, courtesy of a close relative, he heard L.A. Style's "James Brown Is Dead", along with a number of other old school tunes. This started his love affair with dance music. After High School he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. During the latter years of his enlistment he met deejays and mentors active in the Los Angeles scene at the time – Jason Angel, deejay W and Alder. Hearing them, and being encouraged by friends, LRCN stepped up, "After seeing how they got a crowd moving and attending a number of events with other friends at the time, I decided that I wanted to give it a shot." During the last 8 months of his enlistment, Digitally Imported was in it's infancy. This is the point at which LRCN began his entry as a deejay into the EDM world as we now know it. His interest in progressive trance and house music sparked his interest in Digitally Imported's Progressive Channel, where he has become a regular since it started to stream. In 2005 he started to help Johan Nilsson gather new content for the Progressive Channel. Not only did LRCN help with tracks and shows, he also helped track down new deejays and artists. Those artists and deejays have since made guest appearances and/or started their own shows on Digitally Imported. LRCN is now the co-director of the Progressive Channel on Digitally Imported. He has helped to shape and mold the Progressive Channel to what it is today. Prior to and during his duties at Digitally Imported, LRCN hosted two (2) online radio shows called 4x4 101 and Four4 on AfterhoursDJ.org, formally DI-Afterhours, for several years. However, due to the amount of work involved, he had to put and end to them and focus on The Bidness, which is coming up on it's 6 year anniversary. To date, LRCN has played at L.A.'s Spundae & RED while they were at Circus Disco in Hollywood, as well as the occasional cross-border gig in cities such as Phoenix, Minneapolis, Harrisburg, and Toronto to name a few. He is equally at home with smaller venues, whipping up dancers at private parties from time to time. Other early artists that influence his work are The Prodigy, Kraftwerk, The Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Underworld, The Future Sound Of London, Fluke, Aphex Twin, and Orbital. Other artists include Pole Folder, Quivver, Sasha, John Digweed, Roland Klinkenberg, Remy, Sander Kleinenberg, Vibrasphere, Ray Mack, Thee-O, and Darin Epsilon, to name only a few. LRCN hones his craft constantly, and he isn't afraid to listen to his work critically. His online Opus is impressive, which includes over 100 dance sets.
