dj macleod (aka Paul Andrews) started out in the music business as road crew for Pink Floyd on their Dark side of the Moon tour. In the mid-eighties, a revolution began the old guard was swept away, as first the hip-hop and electro sounds from New York, and then house music from Chicago, techno from Detroit and the 'Balearic Beat' in Ibiza, were embraced by a new set of young UK promoters and DJs. After being heavily influenced by the Manchester/London sound he began to play small underground parties in the growing warehouse scene. His roots were firmly placed in old skool and acid house which became elements of techno fused with funky filtered house which is the fundamental basis for everything he's done since. His mixing style and genre-bending approach to elements of deep house, tech house, progressive, techno are woven together in a distinct percussive and funky feel. dj macleod is the resident in Utrecht & Heidelberg and plays in clubs and bars Billy Blues, The Museum, DJ Conference, Germany , SOHO Club (Mannheim Germany), Scala (London), belowzero (London) and Turnmills (The Gallery London).
