- Markantonio, a prominent figure in the international techno scene, emerged from the vibrant circuits of Naples at the age of fifteen. Just four years later, his talent ignited the dance floors, capturing the attention of aficionados worldwide.By the late 90s, Markantonio's name had become synonymous with the most electrifying parties in Naples, while esteemed record labels such as Recycled Loops, Shake Rec, Tortured, Conform, and Superbra were captivated by his compositions. His collaborative EP "Fried Mix" with Davide Squillace in 1999 marked his formal introduction to the music industry, swiftly followed by "Appendix A," his inaugural release on the Southsoul Appendix label. Markantonio possesses a discerning musical palate, perpetually attuned to the evolving landscape of techno. His performances exude a rare vitality, characterized by the seamless fusion of high BPM beats and acid funk, weaving intricate grooves and basslines. Renowned for his adept manipulation of sound through three decks and a mastery of the mixer, he effortlessly navigates between rhythmic complexities and melodic subtleties. Collaborations with luminaries such as Rino Cerrone, Davide Squillace, Paco Osuna, Valentino Kanzyani, The Advent, and Ignition Technician have enriched his artistic journey, pushing the boundaries of his craft. In 2001, Markantonio founded AnalyticTrail, his eponymous record label, serving as a platform to nurture emerging talents. AnalyticTrail's inaugural EP, "The Beginning," unleashed a potent technoid allure, followed by the spirited "Subsequent EP" with Rino Cerrone. Markantonio's tribal sensibilities shine through in "Percussion Mission," while collaborations like "Atome EP" with Paco Osuna underscore the label's expanding influence. Notable releases such as "Total Impact" reaffirm his enduring partnership with Rino Cerrone, while tracks like "Molotov," co-created with Joseph Capriati, garnered acclaim from industry stalwarts like Richie Hawtin. Markantonio's career spans over two decades, during which he has amassed an impressive portfolio of performances across Europe, gracing the stages of renowned clubs and festivals, including Awakenings, Monegros, Freedom Medellin, and Fabrik Madrid just to name a few, solidifying his status as a powerhouse in the techno scene. He is actually leading the charge in reviving the iconic Naples Techno sound with his upcoming releases in 2024. His latest tracks, known for their fast-paced rhythms and infectious grooves, are poised to make waves on major labels within the genre and through his own label, AnalyticTrail. At this pivotal moment in Markantonio's career, his timeless records from the 90s and 2000s are gaining renewed popularity, fueled by the support of emerging talents such as Alarico, Blasha & Allatt, Grace Dahl, and Lobster, all regulars at the renowned Vault Sessions.
