- Hailing from Argentina, Hernan Markowicz has made a substantial impact on the techno and tech-house scene in Miami. What’s made the proactive DJ & producer set himself apart is that he doesn’t dream or aspire, but actually puts forth his goals into action.At a young age Markowicz connected instantly to a new type of music we now call techno. Soon after its emergence into the electronic music scene, he transformed his passion for techno into a personal hobby. By 2003 his dreams of playing became a reality after getting a gig in Miami which marked the start of what transformed his hobby into a career and lifestyle.Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and raised in Miami by 2004 Markowitz was already sharing the booth with all the big name Miami dj’s and soon after was spinning regularly at well-known underground clubs such as the The Electric Pickle, Treehouse, Trade and local festivals. He then went on to play nationwide in cities like Detroit, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York. During his residency at Castle Nightclub in Chicago he also had the opportunity to frequent famed underground venues such as the SpyBar, Sound-Bar and Primary Nightclub where he played alongside the likes of Gene Farris, Dustin Sheridan, Tim Baker and DJ Hyperactive.A force to be reckoned with, Markowicz has proven himself as a driven, creative and energetic producer and DJ. He honed his production skills at the notorious Ritmik Music Workshop where he worked with Hugo Bianco, Troncoso and Maurizio Ruggiero in the studio and has since released tracks on record labels such as Prisoner Of Love, Deep Tech Records, Disclosure Crew and Chillin Music. A force to be reckoned with, Markowicz has proven himself as a driven, creative and energetic producer and DJ. He also ventured further and started a new label under the name of “What Makes A Lover.” On Beatport he has recently released tracks on labels such as "Infamous Recordings", “From The South Records”, “Hatching Creatures” and “1994. Markowicz presently holds residencies at Treehouse in Miami.. not afraid of pushing the boundaries and taking the audience on a never ending musical experience, in 2019 Markowicz plans on releasing more music and has a tour planned in Central and South America.
