Marshall began on the professional DJ scene with a residency at the Fez in Cape Town in its heyday; on it’s premier night, Friday’s Strutt. This affair lasted over two years from the beginning of 2000 and since he has held residency at nearly every noted club in Cape Town for the last 6 years including More, Marvel, Orchard Bank, Opium, Roosevelt and Fiction. National travel has become commonplace and sets in Durban and Johannesburg at top clubs the likes of Carfax, 115, 88 Lounge and Tokyo Star are regular fixtures in an already busy diary. Festivals and specialist nights have been taken on in droves and highlights include Flux Festival and Woodstock, Origin, Earthdance, AD2000, Killer Robot and Trevor Mitchell’s Voyage and Capsule endeavours. A signing to the infamous sShadoworkSs organization has seen him branch out into all areas of music, and his ability to weave sonic landscapes has landed him many prominent functions across SA as well as sets in the homes of social luminaries the likes of Dion Chang, Koki Falkow and Alistair King. International acclaim includes playing alongside Kaskade, Nick Fanculli, Mark Hughes, Rainer Truby of Super Label !K7, Diplo of Ninja Tune at the ’07 Design Indaba and most recently Def Jam legend and co-founder Jazzy Jay at the Red Bull BC1. Outside of DJ work and music production Marshall is a published photographer and writer, worked as regional manager at trend agency Instant Grass and is a qualified sound engineer.
