The night was created with the aim of providing an alternative to the New York-orientated House that seemed to dominate Tokyo venues at t..Matt was previously a resident DJ and promoter at the legendary Tokyo based monthly party Right Right Right (RRR). The night was created with the aim of providing an alternative to the New York-orientated House that seemed to dominate Tokyo venues at that time. Not that there's anything wrong with New York-orientated House, but everyone knows there's a world of music out there, so why stick to one genre? Numerous international and Japanese DJ's came to play as guests of RRR and fell in love with our 'play whatever you like' attitude, not to mention the legendary Jam sound-system. Eventually the parties lead to producing monthly radio shows, along with his RRR partner Dr Rob, on the web-based radio station Samurai FM. Matt has played records at a number of Tokyo clubs like Club Loop, Liquid Room and Air. He has also played warm-up sets for DJ's like Terry Farley and Max Essa and has help to run RRR chill-out rooms for Defected In The House and Tokyo Balearic. Matt now resides in Hong Kong where he continues to make guest mixes for various radio shows as well making his own re-edits under the name Tokyo Editsu.
