- Born and raised in Toronto Ontario Matthew Mercury hopes to bring an energetic and memorable set for the music fanatic.Influenced by his parents and their love for electronic music, Matthew Mercury found himself listening to such labels as Defected Record, Nervous Records, Royal House and many more at a young age. His love for house music blossomed in the summer of 2008 when his father had purchased him the "Defected In The House Miami 08" CD. Wanting to explore the realm of electronic music Matthew Mercury has dedicated his time to blending together mesmerizing and uplifting sounds on the dance floor, he aims to give the listener something new every set. Matthew Mercury's musical journey started at a young age when he first attended the Ontario Royal Music Conservatory. At the age of 8 he started entering piano contest and from there on also attend guitar lessons and vocal lessons. It wasn't until the age of 12 that he discovered electronic dance music, from there on his passion for such genres as techno, house, tech house and others were found. Never keeping to one single genre Matthew Mercury finds himself in many different and diverse settings and easily adapts to them. Crowd control being one of his skills when behind the decks, "I feel being able to connect with the crowed is one of the most important parts of djing, it lets the crowd know that they can dance and just enjoy the music". While working away in his home studio Matthew Mercury tries to bring a new taste into the dance world by bringing different genres into his production and his sets. Playing at various clubs in Toronto & his international set in Miami at the famous Miami Treehouse he hopes to bring the music fanatic exactly what they're looking for. His dedication, and perseverance put him at a high spot to be noticed in the dance community. Hoping to leave a mark with his sense of style and creativity when playing and producing while trying to maintain his own character.
